Can I complete my SATOP class online?
As we navigate an increasingly digital landscape, the St. Joseph Safety & Health Council recognizes the preference for in-person interactions during the SATOP experience. However, we understand that certain circumstances may prevent face-to-face meetings.
We are pleased to announce that the SATOP Division of the Missouri Department of Mental Health has granted us permission to deliver components of our SATOP programming online.
The initial phase of SATOP involves an assessment screening, which we are now offering through our ONLINE SATOP Screenings. This process includes a $375 fee, completion of a screening questioner that can be done from the comfort of your home, followed by a personalized interview with one of our certified substance abuse counselors, available either by phone or in our office. Our counselor will evaluate your screening results, driving record, and interview to recommend an appropriate SATOP service program level, eliminating the need for an office visit. To initiate the process, please visit our ONLINE SCREENING PAGE or contact our office at (816) 233-3330.
What comes next?
Upon completing your SATOP screening, we provide both in-person and virtual OEP & WIP Classes via Zoom. For more information, please reach out to the St. Joseph Safety & Health Council at (816) 233-3330.
The St. Joseph Safety & Health Council is a certified Missouri Department of Mental Health as a SATOP provider, ensuring our program aligns with Missouri SATOP requirements.
Online SATOP Screenings
At St. Joseph Safety & Health Council, our online screening process consists of 2 easy steps:
When you’re ready – it will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete, click HERE to get started. You’ll be asked to pay for your screening and be given the questionnaire, which can be completed online using either a computer or your smartphone. (If you’ve already paid for your screening, you can skip straight to the QUESTIONNAIRE to start taking your test. You will be asked for the authorization code that came in your payment notification e-mail).
As you’re completing the online screening questionnaire, you’ll be asked to select a time and date and your phone number for one of our substance use counselors to call you to complete the screening process. Please note, we are currently scheduling SATOP Screening phone interviews approximately one week in advance.
Finally, make sure you’re available to receive a phone call at the time you selected, and our counselor will review your screening results, driving record, and ask you some questions about your DWI arrest. Once that’s complete the counselor will make a SATOP programming recommendation and we will place your SATOP Program Assignment Form in the mail for you, and you’re all set to get scheduled for your SATOP class!
