OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY PROGRAMS

The Council is committed to understanding the concerns of employers regarding worker safety, insurance costs, regulatory and other issues that impact the workplace. 

In 2019, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 5,333 unintentional, workplace deaths which is a 2% rise in total worker deaths from 2018 which was 5,250.

The St. Joseph Safety and Health Council is dedicated to assisting area employers decrease the chances of this occurring in their facilities.  We offer a variety of safety training programs and events designed to assist employers in providing a safer working environment for employees, as well as meet standards set forth in the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
