STATS:

Sadly, statistics show the number one killer of 15 to 19-year old’s in our nation is traffic crashes. 

This is unacceptable. 

DETAILS:

The St. Joseph Safety Council has developed a study curriculum which assists (pre-permitted) teens to prepare for their written test to obtain a Missouri Driving Permit. 

This is a 4-hour workshop which covers material in detail in the Missouri Driver’s Guide.  Emphasis is placed on developing safe and legal driving habits.

The Teen Driving Academy covers topics such as: 

  • Rules of the Road,

  • Defensive Driving,

  • Occupant Restraints,

  • Road Sign Recognition,

  • and other material from the Missouri Driver’s Guide.  

There are practice tests administered at the end of the course for confidence building.
