Everyone at the Safety Council were wonderful.
My probationary time with the safety health Council and my probation officer made this stressful moment in my life very manageable. She made my appointments, relaxing and easy-going, she answered any questions I had and she always worked with my schedule.
The class I took was very informational and really opened my eyes to how my incident could’ve became a lot worse. I have taken many things that I learned from this class and used it in my day-to-day life. The entire St. Joseph Safety Council staff has been a pleasure to work with. Lisa Doyle is a gem -- hold onto her tight because she made me feel accepted, seen, and cared for. Gene was a brilliant testimony during my SATOP course. Kim Bottorf has been a dream to work with. I wouldn't wish my situation on anyone else, but should they find themselves in a similar situation, they would be lucky to work alongside everyone at St. Joe Safety Council. I'm forever grateful for the impact they've made on my life. I would be happy to answer additional questions or provide input on my experience.
My probation officer, Kim B., was very professional, and I also felt like she actually cared about how I was doing as a person, not just another case number on her workload. She worked with me while I went thru back surgery and thru the recovery afterwards. She never made me feel like she was "out to get me" or that she was my enemy. She made me feel proud of how hard I've worked to get back on my feet after the DWI and back surgery. My experience with this office, including with Lisa Doyle and Gene during Satop, was a positive one. I've learned a lot since December 30, 2021, and I plan to never forget that lesson.
